My husband and I enjoyed our trip so much 2 years ago that we are going again next summer! The setting was spectacular, food and wine was delicious, activities were varied and so much fun, and the service was terrific. I would highly recommend Clayoquot. More

Imagine, arriving in a float plane “Fantasy Island” style, reminiscent of the 70’s TV show with Ricardo Montalbon greeting you with the famous line; “Welcome to Fantasy Island!” But instead of a suave Spaniard, you are greeted by a down to earth, attractive, couple in their 50’s dressed in stylish blue jeans and cowboy hats. John and Adel Caton, meet... More

This is my first review, but was my fourth trip! Bedwell is sort of one of this magical places you almost don't want to tell anyone about for fear of it getting crowded and thus as a visitor having less of an experience. With the four year break between visit three and four, I found the place even more exceptional.... More

I hope the title got your attention, because this place really deserves it. The restaurant is indeed superb, particularly given the fact that it is 18 miles from the nearest paved road. And yes, some of the older tents have chemical toilets outside, but they are immaculate, and apparently good enough for Scarlett Johannsen who was married at Clayoquot in... More

The early morning sunshine is creating shadow patterns of the surrounding rainforest on the walls of our Prospector tent. We are snuggled in a king sized bed under a cozy down comforter. One of the neighbourhood black bears can be heard on the tidal flat below our porch turning over rocks looking for his morning breakfast. This is no ordinary... More

If you have children, this is the vacation you all will enjoy! The thrills, memories and amazing photos will elicit conversations for years I'm sure. We all participated in activities together and individually, it was our choice. The salmon fishing was my sons’ favorite; catching a 32-pound trophy fish helps! My daughter loved the horseback riding through the old growth... More

Everything at Clayoquot is astoundingly perfect, from the fun luxury tents to the fresh, delicious, local gourmet meals. Everyday is a fabulous new adventure, led by expert guides. The kids adore fishing with Chuck above all else in the world, whilst riding through the ancient forests makes my heart sing. I am thinking we'll be back... More

Wonderful staff, guides, owners, dogs, bears. Kitchen is world class. You'll be introduced to BC wines that will surprise and delight you. Tents are as advertised but get one of the bathroom attached tents. Walk to and from the kitchen to tents takes you through what feels like Jurassic Park. Quiet abounds. Scenery so abundant the blind can enjoy it.... More

It’s hard to know where to begin. Our experience at Clayoquot (pronounced clack-quit, we learned) was beyond our imaginations and expectations. We were never disappointed – the accommodations (including the new ensuite bathroom tents), the food, the spa – are all what you would expect at this price point. The setting is breathtaking and the care with which the resort... More
