Very nice surroundings full of trees , the rooms need better maintenance. As any other place in this area overpriced, the beach is about 3 km.We did not have wifi reception in our room

Far from anywhere. Disgusting dirty room and badroom. Incompetent and unpleasant staff. You have to cross an highway to buy something to put in the refrigerator - there isn´t room service at all. We stayed in a nice room, cozy and clean. The biggest problem is the location, too far away from everything.. But in general it was a nice stay...

Very nice place. Lots of nature, trees, gardens, specially for biking. Very good service. Nice restaurants. Expensive, yes, but it is worth. Been there a week December 2010 with my wife and kids. They enjoyed it a lot.

We were 2 couples in our 40s. We travel alot and have been to Punta del Estes (highly reccomended) a few times. We know not to expect accomodations that are American standard in every country, but our 20 year old kids would not have stayed. We spent only one night at Solanas and I wished we could've stayed longer. Condominium-style accomodations allowed us to lounge on our own private deck, prepare our own food and drink, and enjoy some privacy.
