The hotel is located in an historic building. The room was spacious. The staff was helpful (the shower was fixed straight away). The only negative point was the breakfast which was far below Brazilian standards.

This pousada lives up to its name in that it is a colonial building of the 18th century, in a town replete with historic houses and churches.
