I have stayed at this Hotel before, so when Mercure had a special offer and I saw Bowden Hall, I immediately booked.As a retired coach driver, I have used Mercure Hotels many times and always found them to be "fit for use". This Hotel is in a different class altogether! The location,staff,accomodation and food are all excellent.

Have, literally, just returned from a Christmas trip to the Bowden Hall. Everything from the room to the food and entertainment was superb. The Manager and staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, even when serving hot chocolate at 1am in the morning on our return from midnight mass. The hotel grounds are lovely but the hotel itself is very run down. The rooms felt like a throw back to the 1980s!! This is not at 4* standard and business guests could find much better in the area. On the plus side: the rooms were clean, the food was lovely and the staff v helpful.

We recently celebrated my daughters 21st Birthday at Bowen Hall, 20 guests had afternon tea, I must honestly say the staff treated us fantastically constantly asking if everything was ok and making sure the party was a succsess. We had a great time thank you very much.
