We were looking for a hotel near Carcassonne for a short break. We found this in an old Michelin guide and booked for 3 nights. It is small, just 15 rooms, but friendly and comfortable. We had room 15 which was small, with an equally compact bathroom, but contained everything we needed including good toiletries and lovely fluffy towels. It didn't... More

We were staying on a half board basis so had a dinner menu without choice for the five nights we stayed. Well cooked, beuatifully presented - good service. Only downside was that the wine list lacked a simple cuveee maison - aperitifs also a bit pricey. Great views from our room but lack of storage space for clothes - only... More

Looking for a nice hotel not far from Carcassonne for a short stay at start of holiday. The auberge is small and friendly and in a lovely setting. The rooms are newly decorated, comfortable and well equipped and the lounge / bar area is pleasant. The real discovery, however was the award-winning restaurant, where they serve serious food at serious prices.... More

I stayed here with my husband and our two mother's who shared a twin bedded room. My mother complained that her sheets were dirty (unchanged) but this was never rectified and no-one at the hotel seemed at all concerned about this. Our room was small and poorly furnished. Breakfast could only be described as miserably poor. The only bread was... More

This charming hotel is located in a small village in the midst of beautiful, lush, rolling countryside. We booked the place, however, based on favorable reviews we'd seen of its restaurant. We were happy for the chef, and ourselves, to arrive and find it had been awarded a Michelin star this year. The rooms are nice in a standard way,... More

This is a wonderful little place to stay and the room great value for money. It was 35 degrees when we stayed here and the room had only a fan but because the room(no.14) was north east facing with large double windows and electric shutters it was suprisingly cool, with the windows open the views were stunning over the surrounding...
