we really enjoyed our stay over New Year's Eve at Gitanjali. We stayed for three days in this charming traditional homestay, where we were in effect the only guests. [Other guests arrived for one night after we had gone to bed, and left before we were up]. Gitanjali is a 70 year old privately-owned house on two floors. The owners occupy the ground floor and the upper floor has three guest bedrooms with attached bathrooms. It is not air conditioned but overhead fans are quite efficient. The guide book which features this property says that it has "three simple rooms" and this is an apt description. There... More
