Wanted to eat outside but wasn't allowed to start a tab even offering to hand over my card or appro £50 spend. Service poor with staff more interested in chatting between themselves than focussing on customers. Food arrived eventually, steak & ale pie contained tough, sinewy and fatty meat. Fish pie wasn't actually a pie - just a mound of... More

Pyewipe Lodge, rooms clean and comfortable. Pyewipe Restuarant well located next to canal, staff great, breakfast and evening food, good value for money. It's a pity the Ladies LOO in Lounge bar let's this very comfortable hotel down... More

I have stayed here before, which tells you straight away that it can not be all bad. The Pyewipe is close to the Lincoln Bye-Pass and so does suffer from road noise and depending on the wind this can vary a lot, but (in my opinion) it is not as bad as other reviewers make out. The accommodation is adequate,... More

My friend and I stayed at the Pyewipe Inn on the 3rd December this year to go to the Christmas market. The Inn was beside the canal which was lovely but be warned sat nav doesn't pick this up and you may go past if you don't just spot the sign. We stayed in the Lodge across the car park,... More

This Inn has a lot of charm to it,with a canalside setting, unfortunately there is a very busy road close to it, so the noise from the traffic is very noticeable. Room was quite big and clean, but the walls were paper thin, so I could hear everything in the next room. The restaurant was great though, one of the... More

This hotel suited my husband and myself down to the ground and made our visit to Lincoln a really memorable experience. The accommodation in the lodge opposite the Hotel itself was very nice, tastefully decorated, spotless clean, fluffy towels, very warm, easy to alter temperature to suit ourselves, extremely comfy bed, best shower I have ever had!!! seriously I could... We had a short midweek break here, it was quiet, not many staying in the lodge. Large rooms, clean and not too warm, many hotels are like staying in ovens! Comfy bed with pretty cover. Only downside was the stained headboard and although the curtains were all the same pattern they were not the same colour, I did tell the... More

The place feels grubby although not actually dirty, carpets dirty, towels treadbare, toiletries not replenished, food expensive, average pub grub, beef dishes more suitable for vegetarians. 1.75 miles walk into Lincoln, 30 min. fast walking to the edge of city, another 15 min. to catedral old town. Judging by all the workmen's vans in the car park, this is a... More

Lovely place to stay with freshly cooked breakfast and friendly service. Easy 30 minute walk into Lincoln along tow path. Room spacious and clean. Only issue - bedroom had a large window and as we were at the front of the building this overlooked the Lodge car park and could have done with net curtains as we felt rather exposed. More
