“Kata beach resort ....perfect location on the beach”

If you have come all the way to Kata to enjoy the beach, go the extra $$ and enjoy the Kata Beach Resort right on the beach. The rooms and gardens are lovely and it is beautifully positioned right on the beach to enjoy the best of the sand and sea while steps away from the swimming pool to cool... More

Me, my girlfriend and some friends where stuck in a really crappy hotel and where on the search for something with less mold and a toilet that flushed. I found The Kata Resort on latestays and it had a reasonable price. After checking tripadvisor i wasn't that confident but it was really close so we decided to take a look...... More

I stayed there for a few days in January 2011, and despite front desk staff being nice and service minded I would not recommend this place. Rooms are dirty and outdated, bathroom not good, pool area useless. The best place to be is the bar area in front as you won´t see the inside of the hotel. Stay away!

From what you say I cannot disagree with your comments. The Little Mermaid has obviously been in serious decline over the more recent months, with the previous owners neglecting everything.
