There is not too much choice in Auli for places to stay (BONUS).
If, like me you want to get a bit closer to the mountains, have a sniff of solitude, and trek from your accommodation then you'll be happy with The Royal Village.
I was keen to stay in the "cabins" rather than the other hotel options (so gald I did), as I felt it would be a bit more fitting/real/personal for the location> I was not looking to ski (good job.....the snow was a little too thin on the ground for any real thrills there) but did want to trek. The royal Village is well located for either. (Good local guides at entrance to site).
It has amazing views over the mountains. From any cabin you are looking right at them, but not all have the very very best views. If it's not busy you can request a change (but if you're booking at a busy time, I would recommend requesting one which is to the far side and front of the site, if totaly unimpeded views are important to you).
