My partner and I (in our 20's) got back from 7 nights at Oyster Island 2 weeks ago. It was total paradise! Accommodation: We stayed in a deluxe bamboo bungalow (#6) - it was gorgeous. I loved the its traditional style and the amazing view overlooking the water. When we arrived there were flowers decorating the bungalow throughout - very... More

We stayed in a bamboo bungalow (4) at this beautiful resort. Everything was perfect.. All staff were lovely, so friendly and helpful and they made our stay so enjoyable.. Marie, Helen, gaspar and all the others do a great job - outstanding customer service. Meals were delicious and very reasonably priced.. Steaks were fantastic and we really enjoyed the margarita... We have just returned from our honeymoon in Vanuatu. We stayed at Oyster Island Resort for the first 5 nights. It was just what we needed. We felt a million miles away from everything in paradise. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were a little basic but clean and spacious - with a lovely private deck, the... More

We stayed at Oyster Island in December 2011 with our one year old daughter and loved it! I was a bit nervous taking a baby to a resort without air conditioning and a few other modern conveniences, but it was just what we needed. Because we were on a secluded island with only 11 bungalows, we had not a care... More

Spent three nights on this 11 Hut Resort set facing a tropical lagoon protected from the open sea and weather. Kayaked to a near by Blue Hole - a trip up a primodial river almost completely away from civilisation, absolutely lovely. Resort staff and managers delightful and helpful. Food good. Rooms high standard. Make sure you let the resort know... More

We recently spent 3 weeks travelling between 3 islands of Vanuatu but all agree, our 5 nights on Oyster Island was the BEST! From the moment we landed & started the journey across crystal blue rivers & lush green paddocks, we knew Santo was paradise. Then we arrive at the waters edge & look across to Bungalows lining azure waters... More

Oyster Island was exactly the experience we were looking for! Beautiful location, white sand/aqua beaches on the island itself, small resort with fantastic local staff, simple but tastefully done rooms (we stayed in the Deluxe Bamboo Bungalow) and lots of great places to visit nearby. The snorkeling at Oyster was really lovely - there are masses of plate coral, and... More

Have you ever read Enid Blyton's Magic Faraway Tree ?- there are lots of them at this beautiful resort ...majestic specimens swathed in ferns which make you stop and gaze in wonder as you stroll through an enchanted forest.. this place has it all - it's serene (no pool for squealy kids) - an idyllic tropical setting, good food (especially... Great location, friendly local staff, pretty good food (other than breakfast), and close to some good activities but looks and feels a bit tired and shabby, and the expat staff are amateurish. Has the potential to be so much more...... More
