The Oystercatcher is wonderful! The owner, James, is so great! So hospitable! He even opened up the B&B to local friends to eat dinner with us! Nice rooms. Beautiful views. Right off Carlingford Lough.

Clean room, hearty breakfast, friendly staff! THE BEST B&B I have ever stayed at!! The bed itself was extremely comfortable, and they even provided a very nice cot for our 3yr old daughter! You will not be disappointed! James treated us as though it was our very own home! So much better than a hotel! Warm, welcome comfort and rest!

Ireland has the reputation of being friendly and welcoming of strangers and the Oystercatcher's owner James personifies this. A really comfortable guest house, rooms are clean and spacious. James is an excellent host with a life-time of experiences to share if you like to get to know the locale and some of its characters. The breakfast was excellent, a run... More

Stayed in the Oystercatcher in March 2013. Lovely room with ensuite bathroom. Shampoos and shower gels were provided which was nice. It was like home from home. The weather wasn't great that day but I am sure in the summer it would be lovely to leave the patio doors open and let the sun shine in. We were well looked... More

I needed to stay near Kilkeel for a business meeting and stayed in the Oystercatcher. This is a little gem of a Bed and Breakfast. James is a wonderful host, friendly and just a really nice guy to have a conversation with. I stay away quite often in most of the major chain hotels but the Oystercatcher, really felt like... More

My friend and I only stayed one night to the Oytercatcher but we really had a good time. James is a very welcoming host and wonderful cook for the breakfast (wonderful Ulster fry)!! The view from the B&B is amazing (you can see the sea and the mountains) and the location is perfect (free parking, 5 minutes walk from restaurants... More

A great bed and breakfast place to stay, within walking distance of Warrenpoint for shopping and just across the road from the beach and a beautiful seawalk which takes you right down to the pier in Warrenpoint. Breakfasts are wonderful and even cater to a vegan diet which I was on when I stayed there! The owner is friendly, entertaining... More
