The food was second to none and the accommodation and welcome superb. We spent a wonderful long weekend and originally chose it because we wanted to stay somewhere a bit special rather than the usual hotel chains. So happy we did! We did a bit of exploring and went to Enniscrone beach (great seaweed baths!) but mostly just relaxed, took... More

A really beautiful house, kind hosts, good food and gorgeous surroundings. Our room was spacious and elegant, and the beds were surprisingly comfortable (I always expect four-posters to look better than they feel, but my bed was really comfortable and I slept very well). It was bitterly cold outside but we were toasty warm, and it was so nice to... More

What can I say about this beautiful place and its hosts. Spent the weekend here and really had a really lovely time. Simon and Christine are perfect hosts and have thought of everything a guest could want. The food was sublime and accommodation delightful. The house is steeped in history with beautiful gardens but very homely. The attention to detail... More

Spent 18 nights in Ireland and the three best were spent at Coopershill House. Neither the "G" hotel in Galway, where we stayed prior to Coopershill, or Ashford Castle, where we spent two nights after leaving Coopershill were nearly as nice - though the view at the latter is spectacular. Very good food, we ate dinner in the dinning room... More

We booked Coopershill for our group of family and friends as I was celebrating my 50th birthday this month and I have to say that we have just had the most perfect weekend imaginable at this glorious Country House! The house itself is a magnificent building with 8 beautifully appointed guest bedrooms. Both the Drawing and Dining Rooms with their... More

What a fantastic house and our room was large, bright and had a very comfortable bed. Our hosts were delightful and were willing to share their local knowledge and their family history with us. The gardens and the property provided some very relaxing walks. Our best Irish breakfast ever!!

We chose Coopershill mainly because we saw in the Blue Book that they are pet friendly. We had spoken to Simon and Christina in advance and they were very willing and helpful in arranging for our 2 year old Irish Wolfhound to stay in their stable (which he is used to at home). It was a "trial run", and was... More

My daughter Aoife and I just had two days of relaxation in this amazing home of the O'Hara family. The food was fresh from the garden providing the ingredients for fruit pies. chutneys, marmalades and dinner accompaniments. The four poster beds are so comfortable and not a TV in sight!!!! Simon and Christina are so welcoming. We were treated to... More

Everything about Coopershill is memorable, the hosts, Simon & Christine, the magnificent house, superb food and location. Our stay was for three days and found Coopershill the perfect base for touring Sligo. Simon & Christine were very helpful & attentive. All in all a place we would gladly recommend!

We have just returned from a three day stay at Coopershill. this is a simply sublime place, a totally relaxing location and we highly recommend staying here. Our hosts Simon and Christine were fantastics hosts and could not do enough for us even getting up at six am to make us breakfast (normally 9am) as we had to unexpectedly return... More
