We stayed one night in Spica Holiday Home. The room was clean with a big bed and a big clean bathroom and AC. In the price for a room we also had breakfast, which was good. The owners are very nice and helpful people. Spica is located on the hill so the views are amazing, and it is quite clode... More

i have visited Sri Lanka several times and this guesthouse and the sweet couple who run it are one of my fondest memories....also the best food you are going to have comes right out of this kitchen...its dreamy here, a dew covers the grass and hills making everything look like a fairytale. The rooms are clean and comfy and its... More

My husband and I stayed here a week and found it pleasant enough. The room was comfortable and clean with plenty of hot water by solar power. They do not offer laundry service, and I got told off washing my cloths, something I couldn't avoid since we stayed for 7 days. Breakfast is ok - toast, butter, jam, eggs, and... More

When we first arrived at Spica we were made to feel really welcome with a hot cup of tea as it was raining. On first impression the owners of the home are really nice....however it became apparant that, like many people in Sri Lanka, they were only interested in your money. We were told on the phone that the breakfast... More

You want to experience what your home will feel like when you live on top of a hill with the mist, cool air, beautiful view, homely hospitality - Spica is your gateway! We have booked 3 nights in Spica after arrival in Kandy. As we liked the place very much, we decided to return for some more 7 nights at the end of our trip. It's a wonderful place to stay: Great location on top of a hill. A bit outside the center of Kandy, but you can walk to the train... More

We were a group of 5 and we absolutely loved the place and its affectionate hosts Tilak uncle (as he likes to be called) and his wife Chitra. The house is situated at an elevated point and the view of the mist covered hills from the balcony is just beautiful; the rooms are clean and the bed spreads smell great.... More

I stayed at Spica in August 2011 and I loved it!!!Nice room with balcony and attached bathroom (hot water/solar), a pavillion in a beautiful garden with excellent view, situated quietly on a hill above Kandy, with Kandy easy to reach by walking or the owner will call a Tuk-Tuk for you. The food at Spica is just wonderful - prepared... More

This place ought to be great, but it needs far more care. The sheets are greyish floral polycotton, the bedspread stained, the towels ragged, the roof of the balcony is falling apart, the pretty pergola is used for storing cement, there is no wi-fi, the place is a long walk to the town centre (it's difficult to find a tuk-tuk...
