After nearly 24 hours of travel from our home in Vancouver, Canada, we arrived exhausted and were warmly greeted by our host David. We chose the Priory because of it's close proximity to the Canadian war cemetary. It coudn't have been more perfect. The first night we were treated to a beautiful four course dinner, expertly prepared by David using... More

My wife and I arrived for one night's stay breaking our journey from Calais to Brittany and what a good choice it was! We were made very welcome by David and Gill and within minutes of arriving we were sitting in their large country kitchen drinking tea, chatting and watching David prepare the evening meal, during which time David let... My wife and I stopped off at the Priory for a day on our honeymoon, most of which we spent in Paris. We found the atmosphere so friendly and relaxing we decided to stay an extra two days. My wife and I both love food and the evening meal here was one of the highlights of our stay - David... More

Our family of four (with two boys ages 8 and 10) stayed with David and Gill on our way through Normandy and Brittany. Our hosts were knowledgeable and friendly, the location was idyllic, and the food was fantastic. We were made to feel very welcome, and the kids had a great time exploring the grounds. We definitely hope to return! More

If one word sums up the Priory it is 'relaxed'. Owned by an Englishman, the priory has been rescued from years of decay. Our part of the big house was reeking in rustic character. Huge rooms and all old furniture, fittings, paintings, etc. Perfect! David has a great way of taking the stress out of travel. Immediately on arrival the... More

We arrived at The Priory following a long and tiring drive to be greeted warmly by David who immediately offered a very welcome cold beer and a lovely cup of tea. We had asked David for a vegetarian meal in the evening, and did not expect too much as we are so often disappointed. However David is a great cook... More

We stayed with David at The Priory having just arrived in France from the ferry and before touring more southerly in France. We also stayed with David on our return back towards the ferry. On both occasions we had pre-ordered an evening meal. On way south we arrived about 3:30pm and were warmly welcomed with a freshly made pot of... More

We were looking for somewhere for the four of us to stay for one night to break our journey and came across this delightful place by chance on Google maps. David was there to greet us when we arrived and made us feel really settled. Our room was spotless and beautiful. looking out from the front over to the church... More

Our second visit to the Priory was a much anticipated climax to our "grande vacances", and we were not disappointed. We arrived late afternoon on a gloriously hot august afternoon, to be greeted with "tea, coffee, or beer?" - I opted for a delicious coffee, but the beer quickly followed. The 4 course dinner - great cheeseboard! - was shared... More

The hosts David and Jill are lovely and welcoming people. They are always ensuring that their guests are comfortable. They go out of their way to provide useful tips on places to see and how to get around. They allowed me to use their washer to get some much needed laundry done and then Jill even folded it for me...
