Both my Husband and myself feel that we needed to comment on our recent stay at this hotel. On the positive side, the hotel was attractive to look at on the outside due to its age and the location was pleasent. The lighting was very poor between the entrance hall and small steps [which were not outlined or in any... More

A lovely hotel. We only stopped one night, would have been happy to stay longer. They even supplied a furry hot-water bottle (not needed). Room a bit let down by the bathroom - though it has recently been updated. The 'annex' with the bedrooms in is getting a little bit shabby and could do with some paint, but the place... More

My wife and I have just returned home to Northamptonshire after spending two nights at the worst hotel we have ever stayed in - The Wild Duck in Ewen. Both of us have travelled the world and stayed in hotels in Europe, Africa, Central and South America, India, China, Tibet, Nepal and the far east, but we have never before... More

The room was the size of a single garage. The shower did not work. The door did not fit properly. The bed was hard and lumpy. The resturant was filthy with sticky food residue covering the tables. There were crumbs and other bits of food on the floor which stayed there for several days. The chairs felt as if they... More

shame that we fitted you in at the last minute in what you were told was a single room with a 4ft bed, but we let you have it for two at a reduced rate. The bed is a brand new tempur one which would be quite firm being new. Also hence the reason to have a stack of old... More

My husband and I stayed at the Wild Duck Inn last night as a mini weekend for my 30th Birthday. I insisted when going away that we take our puppy with us and we didn't want to go too far from Bristol as it was just for one night. I was so pleased with the wild duck inn as the... More

Looks very nice from the outside, get your bags and go to check in, where ? at the bar where the locals are having their friday evening after work drink ! How pleasant not, then to find our room was not available so we were upgraded to the chinese suite ? Would hate to have seen the lesser rooms. Decor... More

My husband and i have just spent a lovely weekend break at this charming Inn. We arrived on Friday evening, and after a little confusion on how we were to check in (at the bar!) we were shown to our lovely little room, with a four poster bed. The room was clean, and lovely and warm. There were tea making... More

When we arrived a nice gentleman from the bar took us to our room and showed us around, never had that before and it was very welcoming. The room was decorated with Buddhas and had a four poster bed. The bed was creaky but very comfortable. The bar at night was nice and busy but the service was still excellent.... More

This is a lovely little inn close to Cirencester. The stay was great - no huge complaints, but it's worth noting that the pub is known for it's food in the area and is rammed with diners with nowhere to seat drinkers-only which made for a very cosy Friday night cheek-to-cheek with other people! Not quite what we'd imagined for... More
