From the moment we arrived until we left we were treated superbly. All the four members of staff we met were extremely welcoming and friendly - making us feel really at home. The food was absolutely bountiful, nutritious and delicious; and our room was more than very comfortable. As for the location, it was simply stunning. We felt like we... more

This place thoroughly deserves all the awards and recommendations it gets. We stayed for six nights in the Owl room which had the best views of the snow capped mountains rising above the meadow. The room was very spacious with a huge handmade bed and lovely locally produced toiletries in the bathroom. The rest of the lodge was very homely... more

What can I add to the glowing reviews of this place that hasn't already been said? Well one thing is: believe the hype. My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights as part of our honeymoon trip from Vancouver to Calgary. We stayed in the WhiskeyJack cabin with its own bathroom (as i think all the accomodation has now)... more

An awesome experience - sharing a real live meadow with it's rightful owners - the moose, deer and birds. The lodge's deck was a great place to spend time basking in the beauty of the mountains adorned with the lingering ice and snow of winters past while watching the parade of bulls, cows and their calves coming to mire themselves... more

We stayed here for two nights in July, and my only regret is that we did not stay longer! The lodge is a wonderful place to relax and unwind, and a nice alternative to the busy, more touristy areas of Banff and Lake Louise. As other reviewers have reported, the location, facilities, management and food are all excellent. The moose... more

See other reviews for an in-depth and accurate description of this astonishing Lodge. Our family of five (older and young adults) spent two days at the end of a "Canadian Excursion" at the Lodge. We should simply have stayed at Mt. Engadine Lodge the entire time. The service, the food, the rooms, the entire physical living space was simply excellent... more

The lodge is set in a provincial park, surrounded by a meadow, a meandering stream, forested mountains, and a mud wallow that draws moose, elk and deer in the early morning and at dusk. The ambiance at the lodge is special. There is no television or telephone in your room and no cell phone service in the surrounding area. Instead... more

Spent a fantastic three days at Mt. Engadine. Has recently been remodeled and the attention to detail really shows. Staff is superb. Brenda's cooking is wonderful and she graciously made moose cookies for us one day, when we weren't seeing any moose outside. Michael came and got me one night to see a moose right behind the lodge. Chris and... more

My spouse and I had a fabulous time at Engadine Lodge. Everything was great! The rooms were nice and spotless. They've just been renovated. The food was absolutely delicious and we had plenty! We wanted to bring the chef back with us to Calgary. The people we met there were very interesting. Most of all, the managers and all the... more

We stayed here for a couple of nights on a touring holiday from UK. Wow what a place. Great food, great company , great views. We have been slow to add this recommendation because we don't want others to go and spoil it. We hope to go back and stay again in the winter. more
