Yes a really lovely view. Food (especially buffet breakfast) very good. Nice pool.......................................BUT, area plauged by fearless monkeys. The Giritale is situated on a hillside overlooking Lake Giritale and the jungle opposite - what a fantastic location. It is painted in dull greens to blend in with the surrounding countryside. Favourite hotel of all the the ones we stayed in in Sri Lanka. It doesn't have all the trimmings of the beach front hotels but is simple and honest. This hotel was the nicest we stayed at in Sri Lanka, amazing views from the deck, very good service and clean rooms with AC and hot water, though a bit musty.
