Very nice Hotel only 3 years old. The rooms are 5*plus and so is the service. It takes up to 4 hours by road from Columbo airport depending on the time of travel. We decided to drop into the Fortress on our way to Yala. The rooms are of a good standard, but go for a suite. Great pool on the beach. Staff are very friendly and polite. This is a great hotel with superb rooms, food & service. The teenagers particularly liked the hi tech aspects of the cavernous first floor rooms which all had balconies, free standing baths & a choice of showers.
