We just spent 6 nights at Octopus and it was fantastic even when the sun didn't shine! Wonderful activities if you choose to participate or just relax with a great novel. The staff was extremely friendly and always greeted you with a smile. We stayed in the Pointe 4 bure and we believe it was the best location to view... More

We booked this resort for a week during january 2012 but enjoyed it so much we stayed for an extra four days and would happily have stayed for longer. The food was excellent and varied, the staff friendly and the accommodation very good. A wide range of activities are available each day, but the walks can be hot so do... More

This was my second stay at Octopus Resort and I am so glad I came back! The food is still excellent with great variety, the staff are just as friendly and it was lovely to see some familiar faces amongst them and that they remember me! I cannot recommend this resort more, from budget travelers in the dorm right up... More

My wife and I stayed at the Octopus resort from December 30 2011 to January 5 2012. We had a great time. The only excursion that we did was the night snorkel with the dive master. I think his name sounded like "Cookie". Anyway, he was great and we saw tonnes of neat animals. We didn't feel like doing the... More

Thanks for the review. All opinions are valid and we're very happy to hear them. We'd like to add some info here to go with these thoughts. The walu in Fiji is actually Spanish Mackerel as opposed to the Hawaiian walu (or wahoo) which has the health problems that Nick is referring to here. So we get to enjoy stunningly... More

Spent 5 nights at the resort and like most I'm sure..we didn't want to leave!! The Reef out our door was amazing. The best snorkeling we've ever done.. It was so relaxed and beautiful one day melted into the next. The dining room and bar were the central meeting places with great food and awesome sunsets.. If you like friendly... More

We spent six nights at Octopus and had the most amazing adventure with so many great memories that we will cherish forever. We will definitely go back one day. We used the Yasawa flier to get there, which was the only negative experience we had, hot, uncomfortable and crowded - and it took three and and hours (not two and... More

Operated by the same firm who run Blue Lagoon, this is the older sister, yet she's beautiful. The snorkelling is amongst the best in Fiji, with vibrantly coloured 'all manner of things' swimming immediately off the beach & the finest soft surf you've ever seen. The very best food in the Yasawas, good staff, tremendous but never booming IPod selection,... More

Can't say enough about the Octopus. Spent 6 nights and could easily have stayed another 6. For starters, Waya is a beautiful island, and the (bumpy) ride in gives great views of your new home. Stayed in the 4 bed garden bure with ensuite (inc a nice outdoor shower). No a/c in the room but 2 fans were enough for... More

We recently spent 3 nights at Octopus Resort, and are happy to add to the many positive reviews here on Tripadvisor. The resort is lovely - beautifully landscaped with plenty of palm trees, flowers, beach lounges and hammocks. The food is excellent. Within our group we sampled almost all of the lunch options, and found them all to be delicious.... More

Our massage is changing! We are delighted to have our new massage trainer in the resort now. She is working closely with our team of masseurs to create a new massage style - keeping some of the traditional local techniques and adding in modern training. The results are brilliant and now we're offering reflexology on the beach too. Happy days. More

Spent 3 nights here with 7 other mates. Staff are amongst the friendliest I have ever met in my travels. Always looked forward to meal times - food was great! Drinks were well priced and tasty. Pool and beach metres away from your room. Place was kept very clean. Group activities were held every night - pub quiz, bon fires,... More
