The "Little Kulala" Lodge is located within the 37000 hectare Kulala Wilderness Reserve, which is part of the Namib Naukluft national park and very close to the world famous red dunes in the Sossusvlei area. Little Kulala is run by “Wilderness Safaris”, a South African company specializing on ecotourism. Due to the more or less bad road conditions in Namibia,... More

Good food and proportions with lots of vegetables.Really nice welcome with an explanation of the facilities. Guide is the most important aspect of the hotel. We were also fortunate in that the other couple who were with the same guide had similar interests to us. This meant that we were able to take the time to climb Big Daddy, a... More

My wife and I spent 3 days at Little Kulala, Namibia in February 2012 visiting the Sossusvlei Dunes and other sites. This is a perfect camp. facilities and food are superb. The staff are outstanding, most accomodating and enthusiastic, well trained people we have ever encountered. The dunes are a site not to be missed. Lounge and dining area overlooks... More

Considering this lodge is in the middle of a desolate desert landscape where temperatures easily rise to 110 F during the day during the cold season, it is remarkable for its many comforts. Rooms are well appointed with dipping pools and the main lodge is simple but nice. Days here are spent exploring in the early mornings and the evenings... More

You reach this property by an air service in small planes (weather permitted) from Windhoek. A fresh and cool design in the middle of the desert with a devoted staff expects you. The rooms are beautiful with great vistas through a big glass front into the desert and to the famous dunes. Rangers are at your disposal to take you... More

Little Kulala was perfect. We'd just completed a pretty amazing 10 day tour of Namibia in a group of 8. My wife and I wanted a couploe of days R&R before flying back home. This hotel absolutely fit the bill. The individual lodges were perfect: large bedroom and living area, kitchen area with well stocked drinks cabinet, bathroom with two... More

The Little Kulala is over rated. The food was so bad we had to send it back. Hard to believe that this is a premier facility. The staff was friendly and our guide was very good which made the stay tolerable. More

My husband and I travelled through Namibia and decided to treat ourselves for the last 2 nights. We were given a rate per room per night on the telephone which, on arrival turned out to be per person per night! Although the lodge is beautiful and the staff were very helpful, $750 per person per night is ludicrous! For that... More

The lodge is beautiful. The rooms/bungalows are spacious and comfortable, and there is an option to sleep on the roof, under the stars, on comfortable bedrolls that are provided. The dining room had an excellent view of a man-made waterhole, at which we saw ostrich, oryx, impala, hyenas, and there was a large social weaver bird nest. In the distance... More
