We have just returned from a week at Carlisle Bay and enjoyed every minute. It is the optime of a deluxe property. We never left the property (we're ashamed to say) and enjoyed every minute while there. The ocean-facing suites are perfectly situated - 20 yards from the sandy, clean and private beach. The service in the rooms, restaurants and... More

Just back from 7 days in Carlisle Bay (1/28-2/4), the first family holiday with the husband, our 22 month old son and 5 month old daughter. Best points -the beach! it's a stunning bay with clear water and soft sand, and the water is shallow and calm (perfect for young kids). at one end of the beach, there's a mangrove... More

After seeing photos of this hotel for years, and being lulled into believing it would be a very exotic place, I must confess my first impression was a bit of a damp squib - and it remained that way... On the whole we found everything rather average, especially the common parts and the food. What does work well is that... More

Dear Serial_Traveller, We were all very sorry to read that Carlisle Bay failed to meet your expectations. Time away is extremely precious, therefore one would always wish it to be special. One of the lovely aspects of Carlisle Bay is that it has always hosted an appealing mix of guests and individuals who generally travel extensively. Regardless, we deeply regret... More

We stayed in carlisle bay just before christmas and we had a lovely time. the beach is lovely although not completely calm and there were some funny waves that not only rolled into the beach but also rolled out too which could catch you unawares. nice touch of fruit handed out on the beach in the afternoon. we thought the... Stayed in December for a family holiday. Had a beach front room...great, used the beach sports...great, built sandcastles with the kids....great, weather was hot and sunny everyday....great, food and wine was....yep you've guessed it...great. The location was beautiful and the service excellent throughout. There are higher calibre hotels out there, but Carlisle Bay gives great surroundings and a relaxed vibe... More

What a location! What a hotel! Just returned from a 7 night stay at Carlisle Bay, an experience neither my wife nor I shall forget. The levels of service we enjoyed throughout the hotel were exemplary, the public areas and suites were chic and welcoming, and the food was first-class. True, if you're used to snapping your fingers, expecting a... More

just returned from Carlisle Bay and must say that the experience was generally excellent, downsides were very slow service but that reflects the pace of life, food varied in standard and inconsistent with the weekly BBQ being particularly poor and accompanied by a very noisy steel band. Drinks very expensive and all prices exclude 10% service charge and a 12.5% tax... More

Carlisle Bay is in a beautiful situation and is the only hotel on the bay, there is public access but nobody really comes along the hotel beach therefore it feels private. The family suites are spacious and modern and face the sea and there was a seperate bedroom for our two children. We stayed for 9 nights over the October... More

This hotel surpassed all we could have hoped for. After arriving late we were wisked straight to our rooms - checking in later when we felt more refreshed! Thoughtful ! Our room ( by the jetty and a much better location than close to the restaurant where younger families tend to stay and the rooms are perhaps older in style)... More
