It's expensive for what it is, the rooms are basic, we spent a couple of hours with no hot water, having breakfast reminded me of queueing in the school canteen, the staff weren't very helpful, and there's not much to do in the local area. Saying that, the pool's really good! more

This small hotel is fantastic. Very close to downtown Hilo (only about a 5 minute walk) - each room has it's own full kitchen. John Alexander, the owner, loves the Island and can tell you all about secret local areas to go and have much island fun. A great deal - and the backyard garden is spectacular! more
