Where to begin! Cairnbaan Hotel friendly, efficient and relaxed. Room spacious and clean. Staff very friendly. Food terrific with a great range of daily specials. Surrounding countryside enchanting. Stopped in yesterday with my father for lunch. We both had fish and chips. The specials board said that it was haddock landed at nearby Tarbert, and the price was £11.99. Most of the seafood , which was our reason to visit , was "off" what was still on was farmed and not local . So disappointed , i chose a meat dish which came re- heated and dry , i left it . With no sympathy from the management we left never to return . More
