I stayed here after a last minute change of plans, and have to say, I'm glad I did! The place had a lovely feel to it, the staff were so friendly and inviting, I could have made it my home. Nothing was too much trouble (including my 'tweaked' menu request). The staff here constantly rally round after you making sure... More

I used to use an Inn at nearby Heckfield but several management changes resulted in a drop in standards and my decision to search for an alternative. Located within a couple of minutes walk from Winchfield railway station and with a large car park, The Winchfield Inn was the perfect location for clients and colleagues travelling by road or rail... I have, with a colleague stayed three nights at the Winchfield and I can truly comment this was home from home. We arrived a little early on day one its quite a late check in of 5:00pm we arrived at 4:00pm we were greeted with a smile by the staff who had our reservations all confirmed and we were expected,... At work we label people to jobs based on personality. My conclusion is that the landlord of this establishment chose the wrong career. I say he would be better suited to a "traffic warden", because he seemed very miserable, and dosn't seem to like people. Not a good trait for a hotelier. Shame. More

Stayed one night to break our journey to cornwall, and would do so again. Room small but clean, bathroom excellent, lovely bath! Staff very friendly and helpful. Only complaint was damp pillows, which they did their best to sort out. More

I often visit the area as my head office is in Basingstoke so am a frequent visitor and have stayed in many of the surrounding hotels including the Barcelo.. the larger hotels seem to take your business for granted, but not at the Winchfield Inn, I can honestly say over the last few months its been a real pleasure to... I went here on a business trip, staying for 5 nights whilst i did a training course at Highfield Park, about 10 minutes away. I am really glad i chose this place. I was considering the Barcelo hotel a few miles away, purely because it had a pool, but am glad i didnt as i have heard a few bad... More

I do not normaly do reviews, but I felt I should do this one. I am so glad I went to The Winchfield Inn cos I nearly didn't go after reading other tripadvisor reviews but all the reviews are brilliant on Late rooms, and Booking.com, so I gave it a try. I was booked in for 2 days, then meant... More

1st impression was "This is small" but there are 17 en suite rooms which were all part of the same building, the bar was cosy and there was a great choice of malts which put a smile on my face. The locals were friendly and the staff were polite. They provided good food which made a change compared to where... More
