We didn't sleep here, but we had dinner here. If you are looking for some genuine south african food, this is definately the place to be. Very good value as well. It is a 15-20 min drive from the storms river rest camp, so very easy to reach. Private parking. The only strange thing about the restaurant is the manager:... More

Thanks for taking the time to review Rafters! I am so glad that you liked the food. However, I am very sorry that you felt the Manager was being "pushy".. Sometimes our Managers' do get a little bit over enthusiastic, as they are proud of our food, and want everyone to have the total experience, but be assured that this will... More

A tired holiday location requiring finance to bring it up to 21st century standards that are now expected by holiday companies.Accomodation and facilities were poor and the food below standard. We left after one night so were not able to judge further. Hope to call again if we hear of revamp of the Lodge. More

We are so very sorry that you were not happy at all with us. We really did try very hard to please in every way. And had heard from our Night Staff that you really enjoyed Dinner. The first morning was extremely wet ..this rain does make the Tsitsikamma green and lush..we were disappointed you felt you must leave, but... More

We would have liked to have stayed more than one night in this beautiful lodge. We had a room which in fact was a suite. It was so secluded that it didn't need curtains! All around you was the most wonderful vegetation and flowers. A vernda back and front gave you a choice of places to sit and a very... More

My partner & I had a lovely stay here recently. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. We were attending a wedding in Storms River and we managed to check in early. Everything was smooth and Vuyo was particularly helpful. We would certailny go back there when in the area again. Highly recommended. Only... More

Thank you for your lovely comments about our Lodge..we are only sorry that there was the upstairs disturbance. Those above do try to keep their movements to the minimum, and all we can do is further alert upstairs and downstairs guests re the presence of those above (and below) if not so busy we always relocate the guest above. We... More

My partner and I stayed here for one night while travelling the Garden Route. We stayed in Candlewood Cottage which was delightful. Wonderful views of the mountains from the deck and it was fabulous being able to shower or bath with the doors wide open onto the verandah surrounded by our own private garden. The cottage appeared to have recently... More

Many thanks for your really good comments ...I was interested in your take on our Restaurant. I just wanted to explain the Business Cards..this became a tradition from the day we opened our doors back in August 1994. Irish people were the very first to stay with us, appropriately enough! - they affixed their Business Card to the sBar...now gone..although... More

We booked @ the last minute & were pleasently surprised. The rooms were very nice & the Spa was wonderful. The resturant is exceptional serving fabulous food. The staff could not have been nicer. A great place to stay & do the canopy tours or horseback ride. More

After a couple of bad accommodation choices en route to Port Elizabeth (South Africa) it was heaven to find Armagh Country Lodge belonging to Johann and Marion our hosts. The bed/bedding was especially welcoming. If you want to really feel welcome and enjoy good food - this is the place for you. I didn't have any spa treatments because of... More

We didn't stay overnight so I can't comment on the rooms, but we did come in for a massage and I can't recommend it highly enough! They're extremely affordable (about 350 rand) and it was one of the highlights of the trip, particularly as it was after a tiring day of walking. If we'd had more time, I'd have definitely... More

Our room was beautiful but because it was surrounded by so much vegetation it was a bit on the dark side. It would also have been nice to have air con or a ceiling fan and certainly a fridge. Not impressed by breakfast and had very little choice -one morning scrambled eggs were put on the buffet table and poached... More

We didn't really see all the rooms that the Armagh offers because we stayed at the Candlewood Cottage which is so private its like you're on your own little piece of land, perfect for honeymooners. The cottage itself was nice, the hammock especially so. We had a little kitchenette in the room and my husband loved the in room coffee... More
