We stayed at this property in late September and were not sure what to expect. We were very pleasantly surprised, from start to finish. The couple that own the property are wonderful and extremely helpful: they will help with finding wineries, restaurants etc. The rooms are great, with unique furniture and updated bathrooms and very comfortable. Some rooms overlook the... More

My husband and I enjoyed this little quaint place, it reminded us of growing up in our grandma's house (different grandma's ofcourse :)). It was homely, comfortable and the hosts were very welcoming. The room was spacious with charming decor. The breakfast was delightful. A great experience and one that we would recomend. More

We enjoyed our stay and wished we could spend more time there. This old house in the vineyards is simply charming. It's a complete change of scene and time with all modern conveniences. Our room was large and had a view on the vineyards and the setting sun.The owner who is also a winemaker held a wine tasting for us... More

My sister, niece and I were happy to have found this B&B in the middle of the vineyards a short distance from St Emillion. And actually, finding it was our most challenging part of our entire trip...but one that we can use for one of the fun travel stories for the future. My gps wasn't recognizing the address, so I... We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay here and wish only that we could have stayed a bit longer. The owners are lovely people who made every effort to ensure that we had a good visit and all the help we needed in navigating the area. You are not far from Bordeaux or St. Emilion so it's ideally located to... More

The Chateaux was lovely, very impressive. Unfortunately we tried to find it without a street map or Sat Nav and got lost!! However the owner kindly came to find us. Unfortunately we did not get the room I booked as it had been allocated to someone else. It was still very nice but I was slightly dissapointed as I had... More

We booked this hotel at the last minute on a road trip through France. Marie-Christine was very kind over the phone and was more than willing to book us for a night. When we arrived Alain greeted us and showed us to our room. Our French is very bad and Alain spoke almost no english but he was very kind... More

Stayed here for a couple of days as we toured the vignobles of Pomerol and St. Emilion. Facilities were OK but not up to the standard of other B and B's we stayed in during our tour of France. No one there when we arrived, though owner came within 20 minutes when we phoned. Main reason we wouldn't go back... More

We stayed here in September for three nights and I must say the service and the room were top class. It is located in Fronsac about 20 mins drive from bordeaux and 20 mins from St emillion in the wine region. It is right in the middle of their vineward and you see the vines when you open your windows.... More

La Closerie du Fronsac is a 350 year old house on a small vineyard that has been beautifully restored. We happened upon an ad for it in a locally published guide to the St. Emillion area. What good fortune on our part! Our room, booked at the last minute was charming, beautifully appointed, and very comfortable. Madame Aguerre, who personally... More
