We enjoyed taking the kayaks out on the lagoon. It is easy and interesting to kayak to the nearby islands where you can swim on your own little beach. We stayed for one week at the Avana waterfront in the three bed apartment. It was and excellent stay. There were some problems with wasps in our room and a leaking dish washer, but the rest of stay was great. Mark, the local guide from Canada, took care of our questions. We had a great view. Perfect quiet location on the water and away from the road. Rooms were very modern and clean and a decent size. Nice little ground floor patio where we could access the pier and the lagoon. Avana is situated in a beautiful spot right on the lagoon. The rooms were spacious and lovely with everything you need in them. We really enjoyed the lovely big bowl of tropical fruit.
