If you are visiting Lachung,Cliff View Residency is your best choice..Reasonably priced, they give you the best service.The view from the hotel is beautiful.Wooden floored rooms help a lot in the chilled atmosphere.The taste of the food is too good and they surprised us by serving hot tasty poha at 7am, (it is rare in sikkim that you will get to eat poha!!) before we left for Yumthang.The service is also good and the rooms are spacious.The only problem is that they dont provide heaters and as the temperature is quite low,you have to do with the blankets only.All in all it is the best you can get in a place like Lachung! More

We stayed in the hotel for a night and the next morning we were off to visit Yumthang valley and then back to Gangtok. I should mention the great food we had in Cliff view residency at Lachung. They had prepared pure vegetarian food and even Jain food (without onions, garlic) was available. Jain food was prepared specially for some Jain guests.

The view of the mountains from the hotel were great.

Coming to the minus points, the room provided to us was very small. When we reached the hotel, it was raining and all our clothes had gone wet. We asked for two room heaters and they had only one for which they charged Rs.250/- from us.

Overall I would say, this is a hotel with great view and great food minus some basic facilities. More
