Had been planning to visit "MANDAWA" for the last 2 years and it did finally happen last weekend and I was ruining my luck what did stop me from discovering a Bloody good/Brand new Weekend break location from Delhi The first thing that strikes you as soon as you enter the hotel is the exquisite/fine art work and it stays... This hotel is a heritage Haveli (historical home with painted murals), but needs to be updated. The rooms are worn and the bathrooms were dirty. Power went out three times during our one night there. There is a nice seating area upstairs on the second floor and great place to watch the sun go down. The location is perfect and... More

We were welcomed into this heritage Haveli with a chai and a chat in the central foyer. It is run by two brothers who are on site most days and are very friendly and more than happy to assist with whatever is needed. The rooms are airconditioned, very clean and the water is hot! Breakfast is buffet was included in... More

We loved this hotel - great rooms with wonderful old Rajastan drawings, good clean bathrooms and really helpful staff. We stayed one night (en route between Bikaner and Delhi) and can highly recommend. We didn't eat here so I can't advise on food although the breakfast was good and there were peaceful courts and balconies for chai during the day..... More

Do NOT judge this book by its cover. From the exterior, this hotel looks very well put together and almost grand. Firstly, we stayed over Christmas and the rooms were FREEZING. The structure of the hotel prevents almost all natural light getting into the rooms. The blankets made little difference. Getting the hot water going required a synchronized ritual of... More

This hotel was about average for the mid-priced tourist hotels we stayed in while touring Rajasthan. It's in an old haveli on the eastern edge of the central district of Mandawa, in the Shekatawi region of Rajasthan. The building has been restored, and you get an idea of what these characteristic mansions of the old Rajput ruling class looked like... More

After you visit Mandawa , you begin to wonder why you went there. The old havelis which the tour operators are showing off are in pathetic shape, dirty, smelly and inhabited by local families, cows, goats and what have you. There are some smart johnnies as well - while the property is under dispute, you find a guy selling Rs.30 tickets to see... We stayed here for 1 night in oct 2011.Our taxy driver suggested this. surroundings of the hotel were not the greatest.Little boys playing outside the hotel made few ugly remarks. But inside was great. we stayed at the sheesh mahal which was great as it was our honeymoon too.It took about 2 hours to get the air conditioner fixed but after...
