Great place, clean rooms good shower and fantastic, fresh spring water from the tap. Breakfast was good, supper was good. Perfect for the hungry, tired cyclist or walker. Home to the returning Ospreys, YHA Kielder is near Europe's largest man made lake in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Just an hour's drive from either Newcastle or Carlisle and two hours from Edinburgh this is a great area for walking, cycling and bird watching. We offer rooms ranging from 2-bedded to 6-bedded and have the option of private or dormitory accommodation. Within the hostel we have a large lounge with a pool table and lots of board games, a restaurant with licensed bar, a self catering kitchen and washing and drying facilities. We also have a secure bike storage on site. This is excellent accommodation with the option of breakfast, packed lunches and evening meal if required.
