The Camino Real chain has about 15 properties in Mexico, The Monterrey hotel is is an attractive, safe part of the city adjacent to a mall. The style is Mexican contemporary, with lots of polished stone and colorful ceramics. As of Jan. 2012, prices were quire reasonable - $105 for a moderately large, well-furnished room with a king sized bed,... More

This hotel is very nice and they have paid a lot of attention to detail. Lots of stonework in this hotel. Very comfy beds and nice bathrooms. On the M floor there is a walkway to the mall. Hard to find, but it is there. They lock it when the mall closes. I was not impressed with the restaurant in... More

This is my second visit, first was good. I was placed in a smoking room, when asked to be changed the next room was dark, dirty and the TV did not work. This hotel charges for everything, water, internet, breakfast, which I understand, but excessive. I acutally lived in Monterrey 10 years so this is not a gringo thing. More

Stayed here for a business trip. Great hotel! Very friendly staff. Nice, large rooms and just lovely bathrooms. The rain shower , shower head was amazing and the water pressure is just so right. Seriously, one of the best hotel showers ever! Lovely staff as well. More

Our experience was great! There are not many choices as far as hotel restaurants, but the hotel is joined to a really nice mall, and there are restaurants there, as well as a Starbucks next door. We did not touch any mini -bar items as well as the water in the bathroom and the coffee/coffee maker. They are all over-priced.... More

It is too bad that a hotel with such high amenities is being runned by the lowest managment staff I have ever seen. I encountered several incidents during my stay.. I had made reservation three weeks prior my stay- I arrived at 8:00pm and did not get into my room untill 10:30pm. during check out I had several items that... More

This hotel is living on the reputation this chain made twenty years ago. Overpriced. IT cost 5 dollars to make coffee in my own room plus 10% service charge and i made it myself.I had to request extra bath and hand towels everyday. There were two of us in the room and we were given only one hand towel daily... More

I have booked Camino Real Monterrey because I wanted to experience the new Camino Real design. I was positively surprised with the quality of the hotel. The architecture is outstanding, Architect Ricardo Legorreta did an excellent job combining the modern design with the Mexican contemporary trend. I really loved the hotel, the front desk, the spacious lobby, the warmth of... More
