Who could ask for more for the first night of their honeymoon? Ever flowing wine on arrival, excellent recommendations for dinner, the hosts even gave us a pack lunch without us asking, (we were setting off in the morning on the GR10). We would definitely recommend this B & B to others, our only regret = not spending a few... More

Thank you so much for your review, we appreciate it very much. It is a pitty we did not know in advance you were a "fresh" married couple. Nevertheless we find you brave to do the GR10 or parts of it. It is a well known route among walkers throughtout the world. Maybe some other time you are able to... More

We stayed in October for two nights. This is not a luxurious place but simple and honest and very very special. The owners are so enjoying living in the area and therefore have a wealth of knowledge. A great welcome including a welcome drink with fellow guests. Our room was comfortable for the three of us ( we had the... More

What a wonderful review. We are glad we could add something to your holiday. Because this region of France is not very touristic and not well documented we feel it is neccessary to inform our guest about the possibilities. All kinds of thing to do and discover for every age. Maybe we meet again in the future. Thanks again! More

Apologies for the delay in putting up this review! My family, being my wife and seven year old son, Inessa and Daniel, arrived here intending to stay for three days in September. We stayed for all ten days of the holiday because it is a superb place in every way. Rob, Linda and their family run a great bed and... More

Linda, Rob & Ygor clearly don't actually _need_ another glowing review, but I'm going to give them one anyway. First the big picture. Villefranche-de-Conflent. If you came to France wanting to spend some time, in a quiet rural setting, a short stroll from a picture perfect, historic village in a stunning part of the world, perhaps by a small river... More

Wow and thank you very much. What a beautiful review. Ygor loves you too ( he whispered in my ear)!!! It is always difficult to plan your trip in a foreign country. We are happy to have you had as one of our guests. Unfortunately only one night, but who knows maybe somewhere sometime in the future..... ;-) More

Linda and Robert w/Igor their dog are delightful and give excellent recommendations. They have maps of the area and knowledge of the restaurants. This village, Villefrance de Conflent, is small, easy to walk from B&B, not touristy. Nestled in the Pyrenees, there are great photo opps everywhere, particularly from Fort Iberia high above the B&B (the hike is fairly strenuous... More

It is true that this region has a rich history and lots of places/things to capture on photo. Sometimes I think about planning a photo course and visit some of the most beautiful ( not easy to access) places. Villefranche is the second most visited village in the Pyrénées Oriental. It has the remparts, Petit Train Jaune, Grottes de Canalettes,... More

we only stayed for 1 night but it was lovely. The house, the garden, the little farm by the river, the owners. everything was perfect. The rooms are not very large, but they are clean and nicely decorated. The views from our windows to tet river and fort liberia were great. There is also a playgroynd for the kids, free... More

Thank you for your review. We are currently renovating the pool area. It needs new tiling of the terras. In the meanwhile I try to have new chaises longue ( deckchairs) build so the pool is again a very nice place to spent some time. Trying to add a shower as well. No promisses, but I try and do my... We arrived on Le Petit Train Jaune from Barcelona quite late in the day. Robert, Linda & not forgetting Igor gave us a great welcome (with a glass of Rose!). We knew we had chosen well as soon as we arrived, and saw our names on the welcome board. The purpose of visiting Villefranche was to take the litle yellow train into the mountains. We were not disappointed by that journey, but neither were we disappointed with our accommodation. The room was large, decorated in traditional French style, and with... More
