We stayed during summer 2011 Killarney Mountain Lodge and were underwhelmed by the accomodations AND the lodge service. I was surprised to find our little cottage within the Lodge was really lacking, no sunlight at all, very "beat-up", and the cottage bathroom was terrible and desperately needed a remod. It was the smallest bathroom I had ever seen, my husband... More

This place is a combination of so many things... but overall it was a great stay and we'd go back. It is expensive, but the service and meals (old fashioned home cooking of great quality) are fantastic so the prices make sense. It is dated in every way, the bar is like being in a time warp, everything is old,... More

We stopped in unexpectedly for a night at the Killarney Mountain Lodge in the middle of a two week camping trip. At first we were disappointed that there was no television, but then we "got" it. This place is about something different. The rooms are basic, but comfortable. The charm of this place is that you feel like you've stepped... More

This is where I learned to enjoy kayaking six or seven years ago, when my wife and I decided to go up for the first long weekend of that year. I had actually come with the idea of going hiking some of the numerous trails in the area, but decided to spend the first day on an all-day guided kayak... More

This is one of only a few places to stay in close proximity to Killarney Provincial Park. The surrounding area is absolutely beautiful with lots of opportunity for hiking and paddling. We were part of a group of hiking couples and spent three nights in the main lodge. The rooms are very basic and have seen very little upgrade over... More

It's not luxurious, its pretty basic, but it has a lot of atmosphere. We stayed 3 nights in a cabin, which is basic, but suited us perfectly. The surroundings are beautifull, we only met nice people during our stay. The trips which are organised are good (we did the silver peak hike/canoe trip) Food is basic, do not expect to much. More

Our first trip to Killarney we decided to stay at the lodge - not much is open during the week in September. The location is beautiful and very quiet. We stayed two nights in a cabin and it was clean and comfortable but not luxury for the money. We had the 3 meal plan. Breakast was all you can eat... More

I try to come back to Killarney every summer. The attraction to for us is the access to the beautiful Killarney Provincial Park. The beautiful pristine interconnected lakes are ideal for back country canoe tripping (but you must book well in advance for to get the camp sites) or just a day trip. So if we don't have time to... Yes, your room may not be completely sound-proof and yes, the bathrooms are in need of an update, but the beds are deliciously comfortable and everything is kept very clean. The staff are delightful and very willing to help make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The dining room serves excellent *home-cooked* meals which are plentiful and traditional. Do not... More

I love the Killarney area and went there to immerse in nature with my husband. This is an okay place with basic services. There really isn't anything else in Killarney if you don't want to camp. The lodge is rustic and comfortable. The property is well kept. The staff is great. The lake is steps from our cabin. I loved... More
