Planned a trip to Costa Rica for our wedding and honeymoon. After spending a night decided to hold the ceremony on their beautiful grounds. Hotel is on a quiet hillside (old coffee plantation) and georgously landscaped with great views in most directions. Rooms are spacious and clean. A wonderful place to relax when in the San Jose area, fairly close...

Second time at this beautiful property. Local flavor poors out of this warm hotel. Lovely breakfast, accodating if not doting staff, ample parking, and spacious rooms-- all at a fair price. We will be back!

Although we stayed here the night before flying home, the hotel is nice enough for a more extended stay. The grounds are nicely landscaped, the pool inviting, and the view of San Jose at nighttime was beautiful. The posada has an Old Mexico feel with leather furniture, a fireplace, and old artifacts in the reception area. Our room was spacious...

From the first day we arrived we loved this hotel. The service was excellent and Elizabeth was great with helping me organise tours etc. The pool area is lovely and the kids really enjoyed sitting in the hanging chairs to read and laying by the pool. They could go off and explore as there was room for them to play...

This hotel is pretty close to the airport (15-20 minute drive) which is why it's convenient for a first day landing in Costa Rica or a last day before going back. Also, if you're staying in San Jose for a couple days to check out Volcan Irazu or Poas and the close surroundings, it's a convenient location. The hotel itself...

The rooms are somewhat dated; however, the shower had hot water and who cares about a flat screen TV? The staff was wonderful, gracious and helpful. The views were incredible. The lobby and...

Very clean and friendly. I had the most wonderful dinner last night, served my my host. This morning fresh squeezed oj and a banana cut right off the stalk.
I would not spend extra for the contential breakfast with your reservation. It was toast and coffee. For $5. you get eggs, rice and beans, fresh fruit. coffee and juice.

We were greeted by the delightful, enthusiastic Elizabeth; and we and greatly enjoyed our 3 nights at this hotel. A lovely oasis in San Jose! Healthy and good meals, gardenias, orchids, three shades of bougainvilleas, a lovely swimming pool and graciously spacious rooms. Three of us shared a large room, and never felt ourselves in each others way. If we...

When we arrived at this lovely little hotel, after a hunt on the back streets of Santa Ana/Piedades (later to find very easy access from the highway), we were delighted that antiquity was still valued in Costa Rica. Here is a pleasant oasis within a fast modern city and features a large charming pool, climbing bougainvillea, orchids growing on tree...
