My wife and I live nearby and have visited on a number of occasions. Always good friendly service and the food is well cooked and plentiful. A real fire adds to the character of the place. Well worth a visit. More

Stayed 2 nights with our dog. We were immediately greeted & shown to our lovely room which had everything needed for a comfortable stay. We ate both nights in the pub as the food was excellent as was the service. All the staff were exceptionally friendly. It was a pleasure to stay. More

Clean rooms with comfortable bed and good shower. Some rooms have low beams and ceilings but it adds to the character. Very friendly & helpful staff. Descent food reasonably priced and excellent range of real ale. More

This place sums up everything that is wrong with typical British pub food. A duck breast was served cold and totally overcooked. Even ham,egg and chips was beyond them to get right. Inside its dark and little shabby. Outside at the back there is a patio area which could be interesting but lacks any real interest. More

Stayed two nights at this inn, beer garden right outside our window meant no sleep till well after 12.30pm despite being told last orders was 11pm (it wasn't).
