A group of 8 friends stayed at the Old White Hart at Lyddington in May for three midweek nights. The accommodation is quirky but extremely comfprtable, no two rooms are the same but all en-suite with special features such as Jacussi in one and walk in shower in others and extremely clean and comfortable. The chef owner and his wife... More

Loved this place. It's a characterful old inn with a very tasteful makeover in a delightful village surrounded by beautiful countryside. The service is friendly, quick and efficient, and the food is delicious. The bedrooms, mostly in adjacent converted cottages, are excellent, with nicely furnished bedrooms of good size and superb, large bathrooms with quality fittings. My only gripe, and... More

We booked the Bede superior room for our anniversary evening. Fancied the jacuzzi bathroom so only £15 extra supplement. Lovely cozy room, tastefully done and superb bathroom. Only downfall was to negotiate the spiral staircase up to the loo in the night after a wine or too! Our meal was beautiful and the ful English superb. Overall a great deal... More

Haven't been here for a couple of years so was very pleasantly surprised to see the refurbishments, a delightful olde worlde' hotel with a superb restaurant. The service was just right and the local sausages' to die for. Plenty of outside seating (for when the sun decides to shine again), a Petangue area and lots of parking availabilty. You will... More

Stayed here for two nights in standard room. Bed very comfy with nice furnishings and added luxury of homemade shortbread that was replenished each day. Bathroom large and roomy with large roll top bath and walk in shower. Underfloor heating was a welcome addition especially as weather was cold outside. Lovely and cosy with free wifi. Breakfasts were enough portion... More

After a trip to Silverstone we stopped here for the night on the way back to Scotland. We normally have the fantastic haddock, home made chips and minted mushy peas and yet again we did this time to. The fish and chips here are in my view the best ever and by which all others are judged! Prompt service and a... More

Well maintained pub in an idyllic village. Rooms excellent, spread within the building and adjoining cottages. Clean and spacious, nice touches like homemade shortbread in the room. Attentive service and nice atmosphere in the pub. Didn't have dinner there, breakfast was freshly home cooked though not quite to my liking. Great value, well worth a stay if you're visiting the... I tried to check in a little before 6PM and instead of welcoming me, I was greeted with "we do not open before 6PM" which did not make me feel welcome. Service is a bit slow and not too friendly. The food is ok. Breakfast is also ok - nothing special and not a big selection. I find it strange... More

We had a lovely dinner in a beautiful, traditional old pub. Lots of people, fires burning and warm smiles from the staff. We choose from an interesting menu and the food was really good. I would recommend for any kind of occasion.

We booked the Old White Hart purely by chance for a relaxing weekend away in the countryside. The manager/owner 'Holly' was extremely pleasant and the service was great. I called on the way from London to say we would be later than expected, and she kept the chef slightly later to make us some food on arrival. Our room was... More
