We have just returned from a 4 night honeymoon at Monte Arena. The reviews and website we read before booking did not do justice to this haven of peace and tranquility. We stayed in the Rose room with antique furniture and a fabulous view of the courtyard garden. We were impressed by the attention to detail including pure linen sheets... More

A very beautiful old house, in a charming village. a special service offered by Patrick and Menelick. Calm music, candles in the night, a small bassin for those who would like to refresh a little bit. And an excellent breakfast ... All that in one of the most beautiful regions in France, 4 km from Uzes, 25 km to the... More

This hotel is a quiet, calm and tranquil place. It is for relaxing and unwinding. It is not for laid on entertainment or on site facilities. There is no restaurant. There is no bar. There is not a lot really.....and that is the whole point. What they have got is subtle and not like a hotel more like an escape.... More

What to say about Monte Arena....if what makes a good hotel for you is 24 hour concierge, room service, mini-bars and satellite tvs then stop reading now, Monte Arena is not for you....and you wouldnt appreiciate it anyway. If however, you crave beautifully designed, luxuriously styled and elegant accomodation then look no further, Monte Arena is what you have been... More

First of all, this is a boutique B&B and I would definitely go back. My husband and I booked this short break (we stayed here for 3 nights) for our anniversary and the expectations raised on their website and Mr and Mrs Smith were most certainly fulfilled. What an absolute gem. I should also add I'm a very discerning traveller.... More

Amazing B&B in quiet village. Building, bedrooms, breakfast, & staff all excellent!! Maybe not to everyones taste (no tv in bedrooms, shared table for breakfast...) but it is truly a delight and good way to switch off from busy day to day life. Taking a taxi to Uzes in the evening is easy, thoroughly recommend this B&B!! More

I partly booked this b&b based on the reviews here and, on the whole, I was disappointed with what we experienced. Monte Arena has some very good points and some quite bad ones and I think potential guests should be aware of both. On the positive side, the building is fabulous. Like an old monastry with big high ceiling rooms... More

We have actually signed up to Tripadvisor having never really bothered before in order to leave this review. The place was amazing, the historical ambience, beautiful small touches, fantastic use of colour (like pages out of 'Interiors'), a calm and romantic hideaway , antique silver at breakfast. However the most wonderful thing were the hosts who having discovered at the... More

This was the first time we had stayed in a "bed and breakfast" type of accommodation -we are normally luxury hotel/havens of gastronomy types, but since that is not available in Uzes (and not much was as we were booking at last minute in summertime) we thought we would give this a try. At that time it was new to... More

I had for a time vacillated prior to writing this review, as the Monte-Arena is such a hidden gem that popularity might make booking our summer holidays a sight more difficult. Five minutes drive down a country road from picturesque stone market town of Uzes, Monte Arena occupies the prime position as the domaine of the village of Montaren-et-St-Mediers. Parking... More
