We have just returned from our second stay at The Lion Inn and we will certainly return again. The remote location is an ideal escape for rest and relaxation. The inn is kept to the highest standards with spotless rooms, stylish decor and every detail thought through. Fiona and Tim are great and they couldn't be more friendly or helpful.... More

This is an immaculately kept Inn, pub and restaurant just off the beaten path near Betws-y-Coed. The food is absolutely fantastic. Don't forget to communicate with Fiona (chef and inn-keeper) prior to your arrival to ensure that they purchase food for your meal. Everything is purchased fresh locally and they need to know that you will be joining them for... More

tim and fiona immediately made us feel welcome as a group, they'd remembered each of our names and its touches like this that make the difference and make you feel welcome. all the rooms were very smart with en suites, and the large dining room and adjoining pub/bar meant relaxing in the evening was lovely. will definitely be back!

Excellent hosts, wonderful food sourced from local suppliers where possible , plenty to do and see in this part of North Wales . All rooms suitable as bar only open limited nights to a few local farmers . Well appointed bedrooms with good design features . Good value for money .

I booked a short break here in February half term. What a great choice! We were welcomed by Fiona and shown to our room -which was beautifully presented and really comfortable. Gwytherin is really off the main roads and is really peaceful. Dinner was superb - Fiona's chicken pate is amazing. After a day spent on the Ffestiniog railway, we... More

We booked a two night stay at the last minute and were very pleased with the price especially considering it was New Years eve. Everything in this Inn is designed beautifully, every detail looked over with a careful eye and Fiona and Tim are delightful hosts. We would return again just for the breakfast alone which was fantastic. A great... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay in the Lion Inn, the location and scenery is beautiful and just perfect for a weekend to get away from it all. The hosts Fiona and Tim were extremely welcoming and very helpful. The room we had was lovely and very clean. There is a dvd library, books, and an ipod docking station, suggested walking... More
