Very clean and bright room, both Wendy and Tina are very friendly and helpful, good hearty breakfast with plenty of choice. Choice of two restaurants within 10minute maximum walk. Car parking for cruise terminal is great

Having stayed at many faceless hotels and B&B's on business, Myrtle cottage ticks all the right boxes for a solo female, business travellor, looking for a home from home. I have chosen to stay at Myrtle cottage regularly and on many occasions over the past few months and have always been made to feel welcome, comfortable and safe in the... More

Very disappointing stay. Over priced. No where to hang our clothes owner had locked wardrobe and very tiny area left for us together with owners belongings. Our personal belongings were touched snd moved in our room when we returned at the end of thr day. We were shouted at when we said we did not want a cooked breakfast one... More

A frosty welcome, which didn't improve. If you can't manage stairs, don't even attempt this hazourdous trip( literally) along the unguarded staircase .Bedroom not one would expect for the money, twee & fussy on a shoestring. Breakfast not the best of quality, & served in an icy cold conservitory .Adaquate if one wanted merely to rest one's head, but ...NOT... More

Wife and I stayed at Myrtle Cottage for a short break in June. We stayed in the Myrtle room which was lovely and despite overlooking the road had no issues with traffic noise. Wendy was there when we arrived but went away with Tilly for a few days and we were ably looked after by the lovely Tina for the... More

My husband and i arrived at 11.30am and were greeted by Tina, Wendy's assistant. Tina was lovely and showed us to our room and introduced us to Tilly, the dog who is gorgeous. We stayed in "Myrtle Room" which was absolutely lovely, the bedroom and bathroom were extremely clean. The breakfast in the morning served by Wendy was very tasty... More

We were lucky enough to get booking on what turned out to be the warmest weekend in October in UK for years, last weekend. We were placed in cosy double room with a beautiful view of Wendy's garden and we received a lovely warm welcome when we arrived and throughout our stay there. Breakfast was excellent and the selection was... More

A very pretty cottage, with a beautiful garden. But lacking in hospitality. Owner not there to greet us and explain anything to us, until the evening. We booked the 'Luxury Family Room' which, we were told would consist of a double bed and a single bed. When we were shown the room it had a small double bed only, so... More

There appears to be several issues arising from your feedback which I will try address. Firstly, it is not always possible or realistic to expect to be personally present throughout the whole of the day to meet guests. However I try very hard to accommodate guests preferred check in time and to facilitate this service I work very closely with... More

My fiancé took me to the New Forest for a surprise birthday treat, and we stayed two nights at Myrtle Cottage. It is a lovely bed and breakfast, with very cute decor and the room we stayed in was very cosy and clean. Our bed was very comfortable and the en suite very clean and full of lovely little treats....
