An excellent hotel set in a quiet town setting with efficient helpful staff, excellent quality rooms with superb en-suite facilities. We were there for a wedding, took over the whole hotel, and has the Sir Joshua Reynolds room which boasted the largest bed I have ever slept in. It over looked the side garden with a loverly woody view. Very... More

We had our wedding at SEH in November 2011 and it really could not have been better. Attentive, interested and polite staff throughout; now owned by a wonderful family who really go the extra mile for you at all times. Rooms were simply beautiful with all little details fantastic, food is amazing, bar is full of character with good wine... More

We stayed for our Wedding Anniversary in November 2011, as we wanted to stay somewhere small and unique and this hotel was recommended by a friend. The hotel itself is beautiful, and I can see why so many people choose this as a wedding venue. It is in a very quiet area, surrounded by well kept gardens. The staff were... More

My wife and I got married here in November 2011 and I can only say positive things about this hotel. It's location is ideal in a quiet area of Plympton in Plymouth. It is a family run business and the staff are extremely helpful and very friendly. The food is exceptional and we have visited several times for family birthday... More

I stayed here for one night on business. The receptionist was very helpful and efficient. My room was excellent, spotlessly clean and well furnished. Bed was huge and comfortable. Bathroom was large with a 'Slipper' bath and large walk in rain forest shower. Free wi-fi or wired internet, mini bar, trouser press, hospitality tray, large flat screen tv. I ate... More

Me and my boyfriend stayed for his birthday. We went on a DBB deal and upgraded to a junior suite. We have dined here before with the old owners but had never stayed and this was our first experience of the new owners. We arrived and went straight to the room, I immediatley noticed the huge tear in the carpet... More

A great stay, the house was brilliant and the staff were great with our toddler. The showers look great but to be fair the water pressure was not great but the room was huge and the wedding we attended (my brother in laws) was brilliantly delivered by the friendly, helpful and superb staff More

I have eaten here before and it was excellent. 6 weeks on we gave it a second try. Things often turn out to be a one off and fail to live up to expectations on a 2nd visit. Pleased to say that this was not the case. First course was better than expected and the main was superb. It was... More
