We chose to stay here on the basis of the Trip Advisor reviews and there is nothing I can add to what has already been said. A great place run by nice people serving delicious food in a beautiful part of Devon. Tea and cake when we arrived and a quiet, relaxed atmosphere. Exellent 3 course meal - scallops, followed... Although we live less than 10 miles from Yarcombe, we decided to do an overnight stay at the Belfry as a birthday treat - and it was far from disappointing!! We arrived later than we had hoped, but were warmly welcomed by Neil, shown the location of the downstairs rooms and then to our room at the top of the... More

Once again I have managed to find a hidden treasure. As soon as we arrived we could feel the warmth. We were met by Sarah-Jane who showed us to the Tennyson Room, then disappeared to make coffee in the Guest Lounge, and also the most delicious Ginger Cake which was very welcome! The Tennyson Room itself has a wonderful stained... More

Whilst i understand a small part of the criticism about this Resaurant with rooms, it should be acknowledged that this is a Listed building and there are things that the owners cannot rectify. There was heavy condensation on my windows (Keats room) and yes the walls are thin. However, it strikes me that this is the sort of place that... More

Lovely location on a hillside in a tiny village, good for visiting Honiton. Stayed in the twin Shelley room which was slightly on the small side but beds were comfortable (although some of the wallpaper needed tidying up and the washbasin was cracked). Had a nice dinner, the monkfish was very well cooked and they brought a cider sorbet before... More

We stayed here a while ago but recommended it to some friends this year. It was lovely and cosy. The owners have decorated it very tastefully and we thoroughly enjoyed the two nights on our romantic break away. The breakfast was amazing and everything was on the menu if you wanted it. WE didn't have a meal as the owners... More

Very comfortable, friendly and good value for money. Room facilities good; eg internet wifi works there - unlike many larger hotels where you have to hunt around for hotspots! We only had breakfast there but this too was good. More

We've stayed at The Belfry a few times now & it's always been excellent plus it's in a great location just off the A303 in the Blackdown Hills in Devon. We also enjoyed a 3 course Evening Meal which was fantastic & included perfect steaks. We done the ratings below & the 5 star rating is well deserved. The only... More

This is the first 'B&B' I really want to go back to and also a place I want to take my wife. Its great, the owners, the rooms, the bed, the food, everything is excellent. If you are in the area, this is the place to stay. Breakfast is 8 - 9. More

This is my second stay here last time for busimess this time for a friends wedding. The couple who run this couldnt do enough for you, the food is fantastic and the beds so comfy. Would recommend it if you are anywhere within the local area as the one to stop at. More
