The Ash Hotel has become a home away from home as we make regular visits to the area to visit our daughter at a nearby boarding school. The Alderman and Ambroisia rooms are extremely comfortable, fairly priced and spacious enough. Indeed they are a perfect combination for a traveling family of 4. Food is always nice, but our favorite meal... More

we stayed for two nights at the ash house hotel, in the ambrosia room which was very nice indeed, with comfy bed and quality linen & furnishings. the owner Gordon is friendly, charming and has a high attention to detail in all aspects and nothing is too much trouble. the food was excellent having sampled both breakfast and evening meal,... Menu and quality of cooking was A*. Gordon and his staff were very attentive but they seemed a little uncomfortable in their own skins. Perhaps a little too over eager. Friendly though. Breakfast again excellently executed with quality ingredients. Overall a great find and well worth a stay. Good job old boy! More

We stayed here for just one night whilst visiting friends nearby. I can't comment on the food - although breakfast did smell fantastic! Our room (Bramble, £75 for 1 night, room only) was very good - the bed was comfortable with excellent quality linen, the view over the garden was great and the fresh milk on the tea tray was... More

Our one night stay went without a hitch. Our room was large and well furnished, bath robes and fresh milk were provided. Everything that you could hope for was there. Dinner was served in the orangery, and consisted of real food freshly prepared, and breakfast was excellent. Not cheap, but for on ce we got what we paid for. We... More

I really enoyed my 2 nights stay at Ash House. The building itself is beautifu,; the setting attractive and the location ideal. However the truly great asset of this hotel, which sets it apart from so many others, iis the firiendliness and general warmth of the staff. As a previous reviewer has put it, almost like being a guest at... More

After travelling from Berkshire, my husband and I arrived at Ash House. We were booked in for one night and for an evening meal with a view to celebrating our son's birthday, along with his wife and our granddaughter - they live in Yeovil which is just over ten minutes away. We were pleased with our room, especially the lovely... More

It was our first visit to stay in this wonderful 300 year old house and we were not disappointed. Exception service from the staff, we were made so welcome from the moment we arrived. A well stocked refreshments box in the very large bedroom and complimentary slippers/robes are lovely little touches. Big marshmallow pillows and duvet, crisp white bed linens,... More
