Full of period features yet modernised to a high standard , rooms were immaculate with the bathroom designed to a high specification. Spent a night here for a sunny may bank holiday , great selection of wines and food (which went down even better in the sunshine). Altogether a hidden gem which we will be returning too.

My husband and I booked the room for our anniversary, and stayed in the Hunters room, which was cosy and had a fab view out of the cottage window. The food was out of this world and i would highly recommend the tomato salad starter and loin of rabbit!!! The only bad points were, the staff although amiable, we were... More

I stayed in the Africa room and it was all I have expected from reading previous reviews. Food was super fresh and well-priced. Only down side was breakfast, wih only one person to serve guests left me missing out on toast and others waiting a while for hot food. That said I would recommend to anybody, family or business and... More

My husband and I have stayed in many hotels and inns and this is honestly one of the best. The rooms are wonderful, finished to a very high standard, the bar is inviting with a fantastic selection of wines. The food in the restaurant is as good as we have tasted anywhere. We will definitely visit again.

I had lunch on Easter Monday and had the unfortunate experience of eating at the same time when the previous reviewers (16Jo_Ann16s) associate was swearing and verbally abusing the staff at the Holcombe Inn. A lovely experience was nearly destroyed, I don't know how the girls there managed to maintain their posture whilst being sworn at for no apparent reason.... More

I was very dissapointed with the service on my last visit to the Holcombe Inn, I was accompanying a blind man and we found the staff were not at all accomodating to this kind of disability. The waitress showed us to our table and kept forgetting to bring our drinks over, when we eventually got some water, half an hour... More

I am delighted to respond to this review to warn other restaurants about these people so that they can take quicker action than I did. We were completely taken back by the appalling behaviour of these people and at a loss as to what to do at the time. In hindsight I should have asked them to leave at the... More

We have stayed here a few times now and have been really pleased with both the b&b and the restaurant. 1stly the location is a little out of the way, but, it is close enough to Bath and Longleat to be a good base to explore the surrounding area. We are happy to drive so not a problem for us.... More

The Holcombe Inn is a great hideaway with beautiful 5* accommodation which you cannot fault. Four poster bed, homemade cookies, proper filer coffee, fantastically comfortable bed and roll top bath - pure luxury. Ate in the restaurant and the food matched the accommodation both in the evening and with a quality breakfast. Although we didn't use them there are umbrellas... More

This was my third visit to stay with 'Team Jules' and my second for business. Booking by telephone was effortless and check in uncomplicated on my arrival. On this occasion my room was 'Champagne' (see below) having stayed in Pemberley (business) and Africa (pleasure) previously. A classical looking room, great bathroom with fantastic personal touches and an excellent shower all... More
