My husband and I stayed with our 7 month old pup at the Brown Trout in April 2012. Although we have stayed there many times as a couple, this was the first time we had taken our pup so we were slightly unsure of what to expect. All I can say is that the way the staff treated us over... More

There is a coal fire and a cosy bar, as well as a golf course, a great breakfast and very helpful and friendly staff. The rooms/chalets are huge. Ours was well-heated. This place has something that's difficult to define. But it's good. My only criticism is that there are almost no single malt whiskies. More

Looking for somewhere convenient for driving the Causeway Coastal Route (Derry to Belfast), and to see the Giant's Causeway, Dunluce Castle etc., we booked the Brown Trout Inn. Amazingly, this property has been in the same family since the 1600's. The accommodation choice is either fully self catering cottages (4*) or motel style cabins (3*) - our choice. The cabins... Myself, my husband and our little dog Angus stayed here in one of the self catering cottages in mid-August 2011 and had a fabulous time.
