Lovely stay here for one night whilst visiting family. They gave us a lovely, clean room with loads of character.The bar is a lovely place to get all cosy and have a lovely drink or two and a meal and all the locals and staff are very warming and friendly! More

Freindly staff, excellent evening meal, nice ambience and well kept real ale BUT the bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable with springs poking through...I stayed in the Castle Room and ended up pinching a duvet from an unoccupied room (with equally hard bed) at midnight to sleep on and still had a rotten sleep...would have otherwise given 5 stars.
