Traveling with older teens and a grandparent often makes it difficult to find the ideal place to stay... However the apartments at the Royal Marine Hotel in Brora were beyond our expectations. Stopped off enroute to Orkney as a special night - the rooms were lovely having been recently refurbished and the bathrooms were amazing. Everything was spotless. Nice hotel, good service and nice staff. Rooms are tidy and OK The leisure center in good but not very special. What makes me choose this hotel is their very nice food, the dishes are maybe not that special but they are always very good prepared. So even if you dont stay here try their resturant. more

Lovely location, could not fault the food, and pretty hotel. However the level of service varied, to an absolute shocking rudeness to real helpfulness. Great New Year package, amazing value for money. Food was good although having revisisted recently it is now excellent. Staff are very friendly, helpful and I noted that people with children were especially pleased with the arrangements for the children.
