We booked a KGB deal for 2 night stay on B&B basis. Hotel described as 3* which I thought was very fair. The location is somewhat isolated, but as we had the car it was no problem. Upon arrival the grounds look very pleasant indeed and the main part of the original building reflects a Victorian Mansion. The added rooms...

We spent two nights here with a KGB deal. Mainly caters for conferences etc and nowadays coach parties. Could do with quick makeover as bit tired in most places. On both nights we couldn't access resturuant before 7:30pm because of two 'old timer' coach parties, we left and ate at 'The Sidings' a couple of miles down the A10 to...

We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel after reading some of the negative reviews on Trip Advisor! Our room was comfortable and I think newly refurbished; everywhere in the room including the bathroom was spotlessly clean and in fact looked new. The service everywhere was excellent and the restaurant food was delicious, interesting menus and very...

Good offer via KGB. The hotel itself is in lovely well-kept grounds. It was a busy whilst we there, creating a good atmosphere. A great number of the bedrooms are part of a newer built annex and are very much on the lines of a travel inn – quite small and basic – but having said that they were really...

Room basic. Decor very tired and cleaning staff left cardboard packaging lying around in corridors. Hotel advertises free wi fi but this is a deception as only available in reception and there is no mobile phone reception either. breakfast buffet not kept topped up and had to wait ten minutes for supply of fried eggs. restaurant supervisor seemed more concerned...

We have just returned from a KGB, 2 night deal. Agree with the rest of the reviews that Burn Hall is very similar to a Travelodge. The room we stayed in was very clean but needs a proper shower installing (not mixer over the bath) and the godawful curtain replacing with a screen. The toilet sounded like the QE2 coming...

The burn hall hotel, is essentially a slightly more upmarket travelodge. The rooms are small and clinical, there is no internet access in the rooms and the food is pretty pedestrian/bad.
The staff however are lovely, and were really the only positive aspect of the hotel.
There are numerous deals available, but you would certainly do well to pay that...

Burn Hall is a conference centre, right? So they've got to put all those hotel rooms somewhere, and it's obviously in a block behind the main building. Having said that, I'd consider it comparable to a medium-range business chain such as the Ramada; the rooms were perfectly comfortable without being plush.
We booked with Livingsocial, at £49 per couple including...
