We have stayed at several B&Bs and hotels in Goathland over the years and this is by far the best. Everything about it is perfect. We wouldn't stay anywhere else! More

For a place tucked away in a small village, not far from York, this can't be beat. The house is former parsonage with lovely large rooms. Breakfast started with a buffet of fruit, cereals, juices, and yoghurts, etc. Hot breakfast followed. All nicely done. Goathland is a little more than a number of houses set about the common, but is... More

I had the pleasure of staying at Heatherdene for three nights and you could find no better place to stay. Simply exceptional and I would highly recommend it. More

We arrived quite late (in the dark) after having dinner in Whitby and were welcomed by Jill (we had already called her to advise) and were shown to our rooms on the first floor. Very spacious and comfortable with a separate walk in robe and ensuite. The rooms had great views after checking them out in the morning and it... More

The welcome was friendly, warm and genuine, the hotel and rooms were immaculate, and the food tasty. With ample room for parking and a peaceful location (just a gentle stroll from Goathland's facilities) Heatherdene Hotel had it all for me and my senior parents. Jill and Tony make you feel that nothing is a problem, without getting 'in your face'.... More

Great place to stay, was only there two nights but very relaxing, big room, clean and tidy. Just one thing the breakfast was more about quality than quantity so did leave me a little hungry.. but it was well worth it overall! More

Received a very warm welcome, despite having turned up a day early by mistake! Twin room was very spacious, with good facilites and comfortable beds. Owner had suggested local evening meal which worked well for us. Breakfast was good quality and service overall was excellent. local views were also stunning. More

I stayed here on business for a few weeks last summer and it was very good. I ate in the dining room most nights and all of the food was great, the owners and staff are really friendly and the hotel is very tastefully decorated. The breakfast is extra good! For the money you can't get much better. It's in... More

We stayed at Heatherdene Hotel over the easter break and really enjoyed our time there. The hotel is located in a beautiful area and the rooms at the hotel have wonderful views over the country side. The rooms were nicely decorated, clean and very comfortable and the breakfast in the morning was delicious with home made bread, jams, fresh fruit... More

We have been talking for years about visiting "Heartbeats Aidensfield" and finally made it this September. The village is amazing and very little changed from what you see on the TV programme, a bit busy during the day but it quietens down in the evening. We stayed at the Heatherdene Hotel and really enjoyed our stay there. Our room was... More
