I don't know how the price compares with other properties on ko phangan but we booked direct with the resort (via email) and got a nice pool villa closest to the beach and next to the pool for thb 1,500/night w breakfast, high season; all the other poolside villas were also occupied. Well worth the money in my opinion.

My friend and me made the big mistake and prebooked the hotel online. First of all: When you visit any islands in Thailand, do NOT book your hotels on the internet! You will pay around 30% more if you do... we've been there over Christmas and even during that "peak season" there are lots of free rooms available.
