We didn't hesitate to book a second visit after having a brilliant break here in February. It couldn't be as good again, could it? Well.........it could have been, but wasn't quite. The ambience of the inn is still lovely; our rooms were clean, roomy and great value; the welcome on Bank Holiday Monday was excellent. The special meal deals are... More

We visited the pub for the first time in a long time and found that it had been updated and looked good. The menus were inviting and there were specials on the board. We order two specials at the bar which were accepted. TWENTY minutes latter we were told that the specials were last nights and were no longer available.... More

stayed on a 2 night special deal and was a bit apprehensive after some of the reviews i had read. But i was pleasantly surprised by the standard of the pub and its rooms. The food was superb and the meal deal in the evening was fantastic value. 2 starters, 2 mains and a good bottle of wine for less... More

Stayed for 2 nights on special deal. Great room in attic with beams etc. Excellent lighting and mirrors in room (often very inadequate elsewhere). Up to date flatscreen freeview tv, plus wifi. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfasts and real value evening meal deals availabl with good wine list. We would recommend to anyone.. More

We booked due to the location near to bath and Bristol. The staff were all extremely helpful and there was a nice friendly atmosphere in the hotel at all times. There is not much else in the village and you will need a car to explore. The food served in the evening is good value and different themed nights More

We stayed for just two nights on a short break offer. We had an attic room which was quaint with beams but no head injuries. Staff were all capable, and friendly and helped make it a most enjoyable stay. More

After enjoying a mini break at the sister property in Devon, Buckfastleigh, we booked a two night break in February at the Woolpack. The location is ideal for exploring bath with a convenient bus just 40 mins journey. The room was not easy to access, as it was in the roof space, and the bathroom small - that said, it... More

I stayed at the hotel with my wife last week on a newspaper deal, and what a fantastic deal it was. A wonderful breakfast followed by a lovely stroll around the village in the sunshine. The staff were friendly and helpful with bus times into bath, a real credit to the business well done, and good luck to Craig and... More

We stayed here through an offer in the paper. Lovely room. Bathroom could of done with a little more of a rub down, but that might just be me. Was rudely awoken by the telephone at 615. Informed staff but they weren't sure why it happened. Breakfast was lovely. Staff were very friendly. Bus service into bath is really good... More
